Camilla Sucre
…is a first generation Trinidadian American illustrator with a passion for narratives and stories. Born in New York and raised in Baltimore Camilla graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art with her BFA in Illustration.
Narrative illustration and World-building is Camilla’s specialty. She loves developing new worlds and designing for stories where possibilities are endless. Representation in the media is something Camilla has long been passionate about and her work reflects her dedication to telling inclusive stories.
Camilla is currently Game Mastering her first Dungeons and Dragons game. A homebrew of her creation set in Pixie Hollow/Neverland.
Experience
Camilla has so far illustrated for magazines, the New Yorker website, book covers, picture books and more! She has recently finished her debut Graphic Novel Mama Came Callin’ and is currently developing another graphic novel project.
Her published work so far has been full of warm stories about families connecting through culture and history, however she’d love to branch out and illustrate more fantasy stories for older audiences.
